Wakanda Worldbuilding

The ruling King of Wakanda, T'Challa, addressed the U.N. General Assembly and emphasized that the world had "nothing to fear" from his country and that their Vibranium stockpiles will remain under their control only and out of U.N. oversight. He assured that HE and his country are more than capable to defend itself from any group or government trying to steal the precious metal for devious purposes.

  1. Thank you for shedding a little light on the background of T'Challa and its importance. I must admit that I am a marvel fan, but know very little about the Black Panther. I just read an article about you on Yahoo News and your fan art piqued my interests. I can't wait for the movie to come out. I look forward to seeing what you have in store your fans. There is no doubt that you will develop quite the following. Take care and keep up the good work!!!

    1. Thank you for the kind words! I am glad that it got you interested in finding out more about Black Panther. I too can't wait for the film, and want it to be a success. I think creations like this are a good way to introduce the character in the public consciousness.

  2. Your work is incredible sir, as a collector for over 30 years (15, 700 comics lol) you've breathed some new life into their project even if they don't acknowledge you. The only problem I see is that in the comic as well as the movies Wakanda is no longer in possession of a "stockpile" of this wondrous metal . Wakanda lost this resource during the DoomWar, (Marvels attempt to humble this independent nation lol), and Whedon has established that their isn't a lot left (Caps shield & ultron) .

  3. Thanks for the comment and praise! I really don't think I did much, I was just putting out imagery and a storyline that I would like to see, even if it is divergent from the MCU. Regardless of the amount of Vibranium that is left, just a little can be enough to engineer weapons of planetary mass destruction!! In light of that and other events in the of Age of Ultron I think world powers and other organizations would be in a hurry to get some of their own. Wakanda is still the only place on earth where it exists, therefore it will be the center of the worlds attention (Or at least it should be). No they might not have a stockpile of raw Vibranium, but I am willing to bet that it is still pervasive through out the country in the form of buildings, technology, etc. I'm sure they can recycle a few things to replenish some of that stockpile.
